KEYSTONE+ PROJECT - Creosote
Creosote are one of the most drought-tolerant plants on earth. Their extensive root systems prevent erosion and provide shelter for burrowing animals. The dense lower branches are refuge for numerous reptiles, birds, small rodents, and insects. Over 60 arthropod species have co-evolved to depend exclusively on the creosote bush for their life cycles, food, and camouflage.
